Tian An 1000 Trees

We created this short architectural film of Heatherwick Studio’s 1000 Trees project during the Summer of 2021 in anticipation of the project opening its doors later in the year. Since construction finished, the surrounding area has begun to mature, most notably with a canal-side landscaped promenade opposite the building. Using a combination of aerial drone footage, timelapse, and eye-level perspectives, the film provides glimpses of the project from above as well as more intimate views one gets from adjacent areas.

Hang Lung Riverside 66

Hang Lung Riverside 66 sits along Tianjin's most important pedestrian boulevard, Heping Road. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the building's striking form flips the script on the stereotypical shopping mall design.

Our film sets out to showcase the project's positive impact both at the urban contextual level, all the way down into the pedestrian realm. Aerial views highlight the project's proximity to the Hai He river's refreshed and reinvigorated environment, time-lapse clips showcase how light and shadow wash over the project, and eye level shots help reveal the building's active city market-like atmosphere.

Circle and Square

Circle and Square is an art installation located in Hangzhou's recently opened Chengbei MixC shopping center. Designed by Behin Ha, the project is made up of hundreds of mesh fabric ribbons stretched between the roofline of an adjacent building and the ground plane of a public plaza. The installation engages the public by creating a pair of semi-enclosed, cellular spaces that wrap themselves along the undulating line that curves in on itself.

We set out to capture this project in a way that highlights both its simplicity and rigor, showcasing the way in which it attracts and delights its public users.

Hang Lung Properties Showreel

Here is a fun little showreel that we put together encapsulating three months of intense work into a concise one minute video. In the spring of 2023, we captured all ten of Hang Lung Properties’ China developments in both photographs and film.

Makati Commerce Tower

Filming Makati Commerce Tower took us to the capital city of the Philippines and in particular, its bustling capital city – Manila. The 170 meter high tower puts sustainable design front and center and is the Philippines' first office project to achieve LEED Platinum certification.

TDC | Tengda Center

Tengda International Center acts as a nexus and focal point of the new CBD in Taizhou, China. The 211,000 square meter mixed-use development organizes itself into two symmetrical sites, which together define the city's green axis and connect the project to the the new CBD's central park.

Our film initially showcases the project within its context and then brings the viewers down into the project so they can experience it for themselves. This video undertaking was particularly special for me as the building was one of the first projects I had the good fortune of leading the design of during my decade working for Woods Bagot.

Xi’an Angel Clinic

This short film we created for Woods Bagot showcases their design for Angel Clinic's Xi'an branch. One of several clinics W-B has designed for Angel Clinic in China, we chose to highlight the playful atmosphere the interactive design creates for the children.

Foxconn HQ | Shanghai

A short architectural film we created to showcase the KRIS YAO | ARTECH designed Foxconn Headquarters office tower in the heart of Shanghai's Lujiazui district.
